Spring is almost here, and there is nothing better than spending time outdoors! We are swooning over this mid-century patio. Surrounded by gardens, peaceful sitting areas, and a pool nestled in the greenery.
How to get this in YOUR space:
We get it. It’s not realistic for everyone to have a lush garden with a beautiful pool. Our advice would be to start small. Head to Facebook Marketplace and check for some used patio furniture. There is a pretty good chance someone is selling their IKEA chairs for half the price and in great condition! Add a few plants on your patio or start a small herb garden! The options are endless, & it will make you want to be outdoors all spring & summer. Add in some modern planters, stain or paint your fence, or add an outdoor rug to enhance the design of your patio!
In this cozy breakfast nook, we were inspired by their choice of color for the bench. We love a good green accent, and this was a unique place to use it! It adds an unexpected pop of color and makes the space feel even more inviting.
How to get this in YOUR space:
Get on your overalls, grab your favorite green (ours is Current Mood by Clare ), and get to painting! Pick a piece of furniture like an old hutch, entryway table, or dresser.
We are currently loving chairs with chrome accents! It’s very sleek, durable, and has a mid-century modern feel. This lounge chair by Jindrich Halabala & classic Bertoia are both beautiful examples! Don’t you love when furniture is like art for your home?
This cozy little kitchen + living space is giving us all the modern cottage vibes! We are loving the low windows for the light to peek through and the warm walnut cabinets. Also, can we talk about the warm wood ceilings throughout the house?! P E R F E C T I O N.
How to get this in YOUR space:
Want your space to feel unique & cozy like this one? If you’re renting, one of my favorite hacks is to take off your kitchen cabinet doors for an open shelving look. I know, it sounds crazy, but I have personally done this and it really makes an apartment feel unique and special! Another option is to add handmade ceramics around the house. If you own your home and are thinking about remodeling, choose a beautiful walnut cabinet instead of paint. Wooden cabinets feel a bit more warm and rustic, giving a totally cozy & cottage-like vibe.
